The Official Store Lists a Humanoid at $4,900. Print #001 Still Says $13,500.
Print #001 of the Robot Frontier Price Index still carries one humanoid number: $13,500. That is the Unitree G1 list price, as of 2026-07-24, on a v1 per-unit basis. Six observations since 2024-07 sit behind it. The print says the line held $16,000 for at least a year and repriced to $13,500 by 2025-12.
Open Unitree's U.S. shop today and a cheaper humanoid list is on the same store.
What the store shows today
On 2026-08-26, shop.unitree.com listed these USD prices, tax and shipping excluded:

- Unitree G1, $13,500.00
- Unitree Go2, from $1,600.00
The R1 product page, shop.unitree.com/products/unitree-r1, showed $4,900.00 USD and the words "In Stock." The same page said R1 Air (White) "is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock." Shipping was listed at $300 to $1,200. The buyer pays customs, taxes, and import clearance. EDU is not a public list. The page says contact sales_global@unitree.cc.
Unitree's own R1 page, unitree.com/R1, prints the ladder in a table, tax and shipping excluded:

That page also prints standing size: 1230 x 357 x 190 mm, about 27 kg with battery on AIR, about 29 kg on R1. Degrees of freedom: 20 on AIR, 26 on R1, 26 to 40 on EDU. Unitree files R1 next to G1 under Humanoid Robot. The G1 page still says price from $13.5K, 1320 x 450 x 200 mm, about 35 kg.
We are not computing a new year-over-year from those two lists. We are not filling a residual. We are reporting the pages.
What Print #001 already had
The public tape at therobotledger.com/tape.json is unchanged. Humanoid frontier: $13,500, as of 2026-07-24. G1 is the receipt behind that line.
The capture registry that fed the print pointed the humanoid shop pull at shop.unitree.com/products/unitree-g1. There is no R1 shop slug in that registry, and no dedicated R1 product-page capture in the July archive.
The G1 page captured on 2026-07-21 already showed a related-product block for Unitree R1: "From $4,900.00 USD." That HTML is in the archive. The extract on that pull is G1 variants only. Related-product carousel prices are not read into the index. That is why Print #001's humanoid line is G1 at $13,500 even though $4,900 sat on the same page.
The about page was also captured that day. The snapshot already said: on July 25, Unitree released "the intelligent companion — the humanoid robot R1." The name was in the archive. The R1 product URL was not on the panel.
That is the gap. A cheaper list, on the same shop page, left off the extract. A frontier printed from the G1 variants only.
What this is not
It is not a recut of Print #001. Prints are never edited. If a figure needs a correction, it runs in the next print with both values kept. That rule is on the methodology page.
It is not a claim that R1 has entered the index. Machines enter when they ship at an observable price. The shop page we read today said both "In Stock" and that Air White is backordered. We report both sentences. We do not pick one and promote the SKU.
It is not a new category. Unitree puts R1 on the Humanoid Robot list with G1. Height and weight differ. The v1 basis is still per-unit entry price, the lowest observed price of a shipping unit in the category. Whether R1 clears that bar is a next-print question, with a dated shop capture, not a sentence we write tonight.
EDU stays blank. Contact-sales is not a list.
Why we are writing it now
People cite Print #001 when they want a humanoid entry price. The number they will copy is $13,500. The official store, today, lists a Unitree humanoid from $4,900 on the same domain that still lists G1 at $13,500. Those two facts can sit next to each other. They do not get averaged. They do not get a fan chart.
Print #002 is the place a new observation, or a correction, would print. Until then the index line stays $13,500, as of 2026-07-24, and this page is the dated store receipt next to it.
